Finish Your Plate
Hi Friends,
“Finish Your Plate” was one of our house rules when I grew up. Right now at Solid Rock we have an expanding plateful of food. Early in the season we were wondering how we’d plant enough food. Now we’re wondering how we got so much. For those who like talking about these things, how about we meet this Saturday at 10 a.m. and share ideas about sharing our abundance? Some of us want our hands in the dirt. Some of us want to talk things through. Perhaps we should try a brief optional meeting each Saturday morning to check in on where we’re at and make plans for the season to progress along. All things considered, we’ve come to an amazing place in the Solid Rock Farm Journey. Thank you one and all.
Some excellent weeding last weekend gave space to onions, corn, strawberries and herbs. Belated thanks to Humberto and John – we have another 10 bales of straw for mulching!
Welcome to the farm at anytime, but also this Wednesday evening from 5 to 7. (Our family is in a sailing race tonight, so I’ll try coming out earlier this afternoon, instead of tonight, to see the farm)
