Farm News - June 10
LOTS HAPPENING:
After two weekends of Los Angeles traffic and being away from our Saturday farm mornings, I was so happy to be back at Solid Rock. The roof is part way up on the shed. Amazing work by Gene. And John is up to 11 gophers trapped. The salad greens are spectacular. Squash seeds are coming up. Jeff tilled our open areas again, so they're ready for LoriAnne's starts. Folks spent time on the herb garden this weekend and its spectacularly weed free for at least a few days again.

Thanks to Tammy who heard about our farm on KOZI and brought out celery, watercress, and squash starts for us to transplant.
ZAC:
Zac, if you get this note, please give me a call, 509-293-1815. If you want to get your gourds and flax in, its time. Or if you have other plans at this point, we'll plant that section with squash and grape starts.
SCOTT AND RUTH:
And thanks to Scott, Ruth, and Deborah who spent their Sunday planting the big square. After their 21 day, 3 meals-a-day catering stint at Tierra Learning Center, they're back at the farm and planting fast. I saw potatoes and Thai Basil, squash, and something else pretty that I still can't pronounce.
SATURDAY MEETING:
Wednesday is the moving up ceremony for the middle schoolers, including Emma, Raven, and KariAnna. Our family will be there on Wednesday, but we'll be out again on Saturday, including for our 11 a.m FARM MEETING.
AGENDA: I've got watering on my agenda, what else? Let me know and I'll compile our list of topics.
RECEIPTS: If you have receipts outstanding for seeds, gopher traps, irrigation, etc, bring them so we can square up on our accounting.
Also on Saturday, Pat and Connie Malone will be our guests. They have a farm project in the city of Spokane, using yard space to grow vegetables, build communities, and make a dent in gang activity. Amazing and wonderful folks. Come and meet them.
